Scalloped Potatoes With Campbells Mushroom Soup

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF PATO 'by Andrea Camilleri - Oscar Mondadori - 2010 Christmas with the Kranks

Andrea Camilleri This is perhaps the most "stranu" stories, reading it feels "Stramm" : the story takes place through newspaper articles, reports, public safety, Police reports, letters, and also written on the walls of the town of Vigata, 1890.

What happened? During the passion play on Good Friday Accountant Antonio Pato, director of the local branch of Bank of Trinacria, an official reproach, the husband and loving father integgerimo not only appreciated "Judas" in the above representation, disappears into thin air. Where did he go? E 'is dead or is he hiding? Public Safety and Police are on alert, the newspapers are in turmoil: should shed light on the mystery before the scandal extends to the whole island kingdom.
can all be successful, perhaps a murderer obsessed with lunatic ravings religious? A mess of the Bank of Trinacria? A memory leak? An escape? The shadow of the mafia? Or, as some suggest, the reason it has been swallowed by a rift in space-time continuum?

Written in the form of hilarious dossier, prodigious repertoire of nineteenth-century and contemporary costumes and malpractice, Pato's disappearance is a fine tale that delves into the depths of our past and our present.
(from 4 cover)

The question is to what reader Camilleri thought, if the empirical player or the player model, which as defined in by Eco
Lector in fabula , (Simon and Schuster, 1979).

Surely it is of a more suitable model to player, the less lazy, with curiosity and even willing to mentally reconstruct the story that the documents provide a glimpse.

A delicious read, intelligent, entertaining and fun, for the language that changes its depending on the medium: the curia, police station, police station or local newspaper and with a surprise ending worthy of a great mystery writer and an astute observer of the Italian situation.
